I think Shauna “No one has any right to my baby. He’s my baby.” Shipman would hate that her baby is so often referred to as the “wilderness baby” :/

I know we don’t have a ton of options seeing as she never got to name him but have we considered “baby shipman” or perhaps just “shauna’s baby”

what’s your favorite edit you’ve made?

oof hard question! i guess if you mean serious, heart-wrenching poetry-ish edits, it would probably be my tsoa 1634 edit or my alive girl mitchy edit bc they hurt me deeply.

but in my heart i know my magnum opus is my pretty girl kris letang edit. i would make this my phone background if i didn't hate change so much

4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

for tt it's that line with remus and regulus that comes up to me first. like this fic is almost 300k words in total but this is the line i think of first: “Have I not given enough?” Regulus continues. “Is my life so invaluable that it can’t pay the price of his love? Even a second of it?”

6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?

im usually someone who goes for the visceral shit. the heavy angst or the sci fi and fantasy and everything outside of our reality. but tt is pretty tame compared to what i write even when it represent a big part of my life: my love for cooking and an understanding that even good intentions cause tragedies.

13: What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?

one of the first songs that inspired me a little was daylight by David kushner. 'you and i drink the poison from the same vine' just hits so hard because it's literal and metaphorical. regulus drinks literal poison, all the while other characters have a poison of their own.

15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

honestly? so much. like actually so much. the longest original projects iv written were all around the 100-130k max and not fanfic at all so this was NEW waters. anyways top 3:

keep track of ur chapters and what happens in them. seriously. even if it's just bullet points. iv realized how fucking important storyboarding is. ESPECIALLY storyboarding future chapters. i rawdogged too fucking much in this fic and made writing it much harder than it was supposed to be

to go with the flow if you want but not be swept by the current. that happened too many times and the writers blocks were the price i paid. need to be ok with killing ur darlings sometimes! but also!! plotting ahead and knowing what u will be faced with eventually is important bc then it prevents those 'fuck i wish i had done xx instead' bc now ur at a point that doesn't make much sense and needs a lot of writing around to resolve it

don't go on twitter as a writer. not worth it. dont curiously look up the title (in my case this isn't a problem bc i just get pics of apple pie) some of these takes really have me froth bc like,, idk what u read brother but it was most definitely not one of my fics if that's your take
